At Floura Teeter, we believe in making an impact – not just through our projects, but by giving back to the communities in which we live and work. That’s why from the very beginning, Floura Teeter has been founded on a commitment to community service, whether that means dedicated days of service, volunteering in local schools, or providing pro bono services for organizations that make a difference every single day.
We know we can’t thrive without a thriving community to support us. When we do good, we all do better—and help each other grow.
Since 2014, we have supported local non-profits through our annual Community Grows Here program. Based on nominations from the community, Floura Teeter provides a year of pro bono services, volunteer, or financial support to one non-profit organization chosen by the public. Our inaugural winner was CivicWorks, who secured a $50,000 grant in the Chesapeake Bay Trust’s Growing Green Competition using our pro bono design for the retrofit of an existing parking lot into a green parking site.
The 2015 Winner, The League for People with Disabilities, received support to achieve their goal of revitalizing their community garden and various campus improvements.
In 2016 we worked with the Board of Child Care to re-imagine the patio space located behind the administration building on the organization’s Baltimore campus.
In 2017 we began working with the Roland Park Elementary/Middle School community to develop a master plan for the school’s campus.
