A graduate of North Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Joan has more than 28 years experience in client relations, design, and project management. During the course of her career she has worked with a wide variety of public and private clients on transportation, urban design, streetscape, parks and recreation and affordable/senior housing projects. She has extensive experience managing on-call contracts for the Maryland State Highway Administration, Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks, and Maryland Department of General Services. Joan has served as the project manager for Maryland State Highway Administration Indefinite Delivery Contracts as well as the lead landscape architect for the historic Intercounty Connector Contracts A and B and the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore.
Joan is a wood carver and worked as a blackjack dealer when she was in college.
