Replacement of waterproofing on the Baltimore Convention Center’s aging, leaking roof was the catalyst to revitalize the rooftop terrace. Floura Teeter provided design services for the intensive roof landscape that covers nearly 40% of the 32,640 square foot surface.
The scope of landscape architecture work included new walls, walkway pavers, shade structures and plantings as well as improvements to existing water features. The lively new design also incorporates a kitchen garden featuring herbs and other fresh produce the food service team can use. Floura Teeter incorporated a colorful plant palette for an impressive display in the growing season, but also ornamental grasses, evergreens, and berries for four-season interest.
