Notre Dame Prep is an all-girls Catholic college preparatory school of 800 students in grades 6-12. It is located on a 60-acre campus in a residential neighborhood of Baltimore County.
This project includes design services for landscape enhancements in association with the new STEAM building addition and completes the full enclosure of the courtyard space. With an existing library at one end and the new science and arts addition on the other, the courtyard provides expanded opportunities for outdoor learning and socializing. Stone terraces at each end and seat walls within each terrace provide breakout space for informal gathering and for the display and creation of artworks.
These terraces connect to an existing central outdoor classroom, via an informal stone pathway.
The STEAM Courtyard was completed in 2020.
